Nova-cation

This 1967 Chevy Nova is a rare piece of automotive history. With its still-pristine original paint and fully restored motor, this bright red muscle car turns heads everywhere it goes. The owner asked us to give it a proper photoshoot that would have that “throw-back” feel to it. We took it to a number of locations around Manayunk and Roxborough, just outside of Philadelphia. The results are below.

Black To The Future

BSaint Media hired us to photograph a Mercedes Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series for the cover of their upcoming DVD release, “God Speed”. “God Speed”, a documentary-style film focusing on the lifestyles and machines of high-end and exotic car enthusiasts, should be hitting shelves sometime this Spring.

A San Francisco Treat

Blank Media Group was asked to travel to beautiful San Francisco to do some photography and design work for a start-up outdoor adventure company, Encounter Adventure. We were brought out to photograph the various locales that Encounter Adventure will be offering tours to, as well as to document the founding fathers of Encounter Adventure: Dave, Rick and Dan, for use in advertising and press kits. We had the opportunity to shoot many different areas around San Franscisco, including the Marin Headlands, Land’s End, the Sutro Baths, the Golden Gate Bridge, Kirby Cove Campground, Mt. Diablo State Park and Mt. Olympia.

Our most recent project consisted of photographing a series of vehicles in the studio. We set up the lights and background and brought them in one-by-one. The catch: They were only 10 inches long.

College of Notre Dame of Maryland

A short drive south took us to photograph the College of Notre Dame of Maryland where Ball and Ball Antique Hardware installed a number of custom light fixtures. This beautiful campus just outside of Baltimore is home to some magnificent buildings. We photographed the library with it’s new addition as well as various interior spaces inside the Chapel building.

Today’s Systems Corporation

Today’s Systems brought us in to photograph their own office space for documentation purposes and for use on their website.

Classic Jaguar Mark VII

We had the opportunity to photograph a timeless classic car, the Jaguar Mark VII. We photographed it on-location in the owner’s garage as well as outside for a classic retro look.

Just for fun we have posted some “Behind-The-Scenes” photos from this shoot that give you a little glimpse into what goes into our final images. We used a variety of fill cards and reflectors on this shoot to shape the light and mold it to different areas of the subject. The front-on shot, for example, was created by blending together over 20 different exposures to create a perfectly exposed composite image.

Modified BMW 850

A local BMW owner and enthusiast came to us for photographs of his customized coupe. We decided to photograph it in various locations that helped to bring out its aggressive design and sleek look. The owner was so pleased with the results that he hired us to do a follow-up photo shoot after he purchased new wheels. The following photographs have been used on www.bimmerforums.com as well as various other enthusiast websites and memorabilia.
